Wayne Wonder Awarded With RIAA GOLD Plaque For Single “No Letting Go”

Reggae artiste Wayne Wonder was awarded with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) Certified Gold Plaque for his 2003 hit single ‘No Letting Go‘. This honour was presented to the entertainer at the Central Park SummerStage concert by Christopher Chin, CEO of the popular record label, VP Records.

On August 3, the single which was produced by a Jamaican music producer named Steven ‘Lensky’ Marsden on the Diwali riddim, earned the Gold designation for exceeding 500,000 units of sales in the United States.

No Letting Go‘ was included on his album in 2003 called ‘No Holding Back‘ which was released by VP Records and Atlantic Records. It peaked at No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart, at No. 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and was a Top 40 hit in Belgium, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Sweden, and Switzerland.

The artiste whose real name is Von Wayne Charles recorded his first single called ‘Long and Lasting Love’ in 1985. He has worked as a singer, and songwriter and has made a notable career in music for himself. Some of his top singles are, “Saddest Day of My Life”, “Hold Me Now”, “Bounce Along”, “Bonifide Love” and many others.
