Following his recent arrest on gun and drug charges, Mad Cobra is set to return to the stage, with the dancehall veteran promoting his forthcoming performance in the Bahamas.
The fifty-five-year-old deejay, known for songs such as Flex and Press Trigger, is currently out on bail following his arrest in the United States on charges of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and the trafficking of cocaine.
Despite his recent run-in with the law, it was business as usual as he promoted what appears to be his first performance after his arrest.
Featured alongside fellow veteran entertainers Admiral Baily and Terror Fabulous, Mad Cobra will take to the stage at the Reggae Summer Rewind in Nassau, Bahamas, Saturday night. The deejay appeared exhilarated as he announced his arrival on the island in a video promoting the upcoming show, declaring that he and the other artistes were going to “shell” the event.
Mad Cobra, born Ewart Everton Brown, was arrested on Tuesday by Florence County deputies in South Carolina, USA. Mad Cobra was allegedly speeding in his BMW SUV when he was stopped by the officers, who initiated a search of the vehicle due to suspicion of criminal activity.
