It was in the year 2000 that Bounty Killer started shining light on Kartel’s musical career, calling him up on stage several times, introducing him to a broader audience. “Vybz Kartel come up cause Vybz Kartel is a next artiste mi a bring pan the scene, yuh know seh me is a man mi always a tek a lot to stardom.”
“Vybz Kartel, mi wah yuh gi them di big tune,” said Bounty Killer before handing over the mic on one such occasion. Kartel took the mic and started singing a song about inadequate leaders in the country at the time, on the other hand, he bigged up several known dons.
Wednesday, 52-year-old Rodney Basil Price OD aka Bounty Killer shared footage of the endeavour and wrote a statement about his feelings about the 48-year-old being released from prison.
Bounty wrote, “If yuh never seen greatness b4 observe it right here hard work and dedication is the key to success not merely just education it’s a combination of abilities you applied together each one teach one to reach one man born fi dis 24yrs ago welcome home again youth as you said God Is The Greatest🎉💫🔥 @vybzkartel.”
Vybz Kartel replied to Bounty’s statement by showing gratitude, saying, “Mi Fada, that day is a day I’ll never forger. LOVE N RESPECT GENERAL❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾.”
