Following last week’s bombshell report of the Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) fraud affecting multiple investors, including Usain Bolt, it has now been reported that the retired sprinter was allegedly robbed of Millions.

On Monday, the sprint icon seemingly reacted to the swindling of his fortune that he had invested in the brokerage firm.

Bolt’s manager, Nugent Walker, confirmed the fraud investigation into his missing investments at SSL following reports that the sprinter was swindled of millions. Walker said that Bolt’s entire portfolio was being reviewed but did not disclose the precise sum loss and the time frame under investigation.

According to reports from the Jamaican Observer, a source has alleged that Bolt invested US$10 million into SSL. However, varying sources state that he invested US$10,000, but both reports agree that only US$2,000 remains of the sprinter’s fortune.

The aforementioned source went on to state that Bolt never withdrew from his investment account at SSL after opening it in 2012. It has been alleged that SSL was aware of the fraud in August, yet the suspected swindler, a wealth advisor, was not fired until last Wednesday, the same day Bolt’s team met with the company’s representatives.

His team had requested the meeting in December 2022 after Bolt discovered discrepancies in his financial portfolio after his yearly review.

During the meeting, Bolt’s team was reportedly told by SSL representatives that an investigation was being conducted into matters to which the employee had allegedly confessed. But the company was not aware that Bolt was a victim of the fraud.

Additionally, the source stated that the police are investigating if the massive swindling scheme was not an individual operation but conducted by multiple people. SSL reported its findings to the authorities, including the Financial Services Commission (FSC), which has since barred it from engaging in the sales or trading of assets without the permission of the agency.

Bolt has remained silent amid the intense media coverage of the SSL scandal. But the Olympian has seemingly reacted to the theft of the fortune he invested with the company, posting a clip of his single Cryptic World with musician NJ on his Instagram and Twitter pages. The song discussed greed, and Bolt captioned the post with the lyrics, “In a World of Lies…where is the truth? The History Evil….What is the Root?…MONEY.”
