Bounty Killer Voices PNP and JLP Dubplate

Bounty Killer is not about to keep silent for the upcoming general elections. His way of taking part is by highlighting the Prime Minister and Minister Of Opposition short-comings in a new song which he calls a dubplate.

To further concretize his perspective on not doing dubs for politicians Bounty Killer went and did a song called “Unfairness” which he posted on his Instagram with the caption ” PnP and JlP dub”.

In previous weeks there has been some uproar in the country by a few artistes who disagree with their fellow entertainers doing dubs for Politicians.

According to Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel, Protoje, and more, the same persons who constantly promote that the music is rooted in violence are the same ones who are taking dubs from the artists.

Bounty in his recent track called out names such as Andrew Holness and Peter Phillips as proponents of what he says is a “Slimey and Grimey” system.

In the track, he comments on how the politicians are selling out the country to the Chinese and that poor people are fed up.

These words a very familiar to Rodney Pryce as one of his most notable hit songs of the ’90s was poor “people fed up”. Bounty is also known as the Poor people’s Governer and is defending the people with the track.

We will need to wait and see if the named Politicians in Killer’s new track will comment on the words of the veteran Deejay.

On the other hand, Mr. Vegas and Skatta have been criticizing “The General” approach to the whole situation and insists that it would have been better if “Killa” runs for a governer seat, that way he will be able to help the poor people.

So far in what citizens are describing as a “Sound Clash”, artists such as Teejay, Alkaline, Intence, Spice, Dovey Magnum, Shenseea, Jahvillani, Skillibeng, Chris Martin alongside many others have used their talents to make political statements.

“The worl boss” and the “5-star general” earlier also stated that the politicians do not support Dancehall music and so there should not be a reason why entertainers involved in the industry should do dubs for them.
