Chris Gayle Calls Out Romeich: ‘Romeich been violating… him need fi understand himself’

44-year-old Jamaican cricketing superstar Chris Gayle is not happy with Romeich’s actions towards his event endeavours, highlighting that he helped Romeich in the past, but he’s now being disloyal and “disrespectful”.

In an interview on Entertainment Report with Anthony Miller, Gayle details that his birthday is on September 21 and he will be hosting his annual birthday party which be an initiative to give back to a school he went to while growing up, the Josephine Glasspole Basic School in Rollington Town.

However, Ding Dong will be hosting his birthday party on the same day and while he does not have any problem with Ding Dong, it’s the opposite for his manager Romeich.

“I don’t have a problem with Ding Dong, i have a problem with Romeich because Romeich has been violating my side of things on a few occasions, he has done it before and he’s doing it again… i know Romeich for 20 years… a we mek Romeich mek money, mi a talk from 20 years ago,”

“For Romeich to come now, Romeich even stop sponsors from sponsoring my party, when i ask him about it, Romeich says Chris “i’m loyal to corporate””. He expressed that he was “hurt” by some of the words said to him by the fellow businessman.

The flamboyant former professional cricketer details that Romeich stopped liquor brands from sponsoring his event in the past because he has his own liquor named ‘Triple Gold’ rum.

“I’m speaking facts, it’s reality… some times you talk to him on the phone, him tone a voice just disrespectful,” says the cricketer when asked about evidence about Romeich sabotaging his endeavours.

He was asked why he’s going public now with his issue with Romeich, Gayle replied, “It’s getting too blatant now, it’s getting too disrespectful, Romeich wah treat yo like you a bwoy and mi a big man, him need fi understand himself, a nuh bwoy him a deal wid…Him disrespect mi few times and mi mek it slide.”

“There’s no loyalty, they just a user,” says Gayle as he highlights that other event promoters, notably, “ATI” and “Dream Weekend” promoters do not support him despite him supporting their events over the years.
