Though there may be doubts regarding her performance on the track, the world’s fastest woman alive in the 100m, Elaine Thompson-Herah, appears to be optimistic and has shared a few snapshots from her training.
With the 2023 track and field season underway, Thompson-Herah is back in training and has appeared in multiple track meets locally and internationally. On Wednesday, the five-time Olympic gold medalist appeared to be optimistic and in a playful mood in a few snaps taken from her training session and shared on her Instagram page.
Thompson-Herah opened her 2023 season with a win in the 60m at the Queens Grace Jackson Meet at the National Stadium. However, there have since been concerns regarding the elite athlete’s performance in training, with veteran sports commentator Oral Tracey sharing alleged reports from within the sprinter’s team that she has not been in winning form.
Tracey noted Thompson-Herah’s absence from several sprinting events. But with a number of international meets remaining in major competitions, such as the Wanda Diamond League, Thompson-Herah will have adequate time to prove her naysayers wrong or right.
