Jamaican TikToker Niah went viral on social media Saturday night after a live stream he was taking part in ended with frantic scenes. The Old Harbour native was shot and killed in the yard where he was recording the livestream.
“Him dead, him dead fi real man,” said an associate while talking to fellow TikToker TJ on a live chat Saturday night, “The mad dead inna the yard pan the grung,” said the associate as he sought to confirm the passing of the enigmatic social media influencer.
Social media has been reacting to the news, on Instagram, one person commented, “Ih dawg dead frl star 🤦‍♂️🙏 and look how u just seh yah go rich inna 2025,” another person said, “Saw the video with him laying down it’s so sad.”
Niah of the Niah Gang is best known on the app and on YouTube for his grimy lyrical freestyles that usually run for several minutes with his artiste friends.
On Saturday, before the live chat where all hell broke loose, Niah uploaded a video to his TikTok, in the video the entertainer details that he believes that he will be rich in 2025.
In the dramatic livestream, Niah was talking to another TikToker about ‘badness’ and the streets before sounds were heard, followed by Niah and a person who was beside him running off, multiple explosions were also heard during the ordeal.
