Nicki Minaj is very much invested in the Jamaican culture with a new video shared Thursday morning showing the Trinidadian rapper in a studio with Jamaican TikToker Blam Dem plus Dancehall artiste Skeng and producer Drop-Top.
Nicki Minaj shared the video clip to her over 21 million followers on TikTok, with the following caption, “Mi a celebrity!!!!! Nicki this, Nicki dat, Nicki MAD DEM!!! @Blamdem @Droptoprecords plus fi mi Don #SKENG 🇪🇸🇯🇲🇹🇹 go look work drancro!!!! -BARBIE.”
This studio appearance comes on the heels of Blam Dem creating a spliced collaboration with Nicki Minaj which she liked. Nicki Minaj recently called the song her theme song while on a TikTok livestream with the western Jamaica native who has been carrying out all sorts of shenanigans on TikTok.
Notably, Blam Dem first rose to popularity by continually disrespecting Dancehall artiste Squash and his mother online, both of whom he knows personally. Most recently, he and Prettii Don had a fallout online which he labels as a prank.
However, aside from his fallout with several popular names, he has been uniting with some other popular names such as Nicki Minaj, Skeng, Jayden, RajahWild amongst others.
Only time will tell what the product of Nicki Minaj linking up with the three Jamaicans in the studio will produce.
