Vybz Kartel’s Show Set for December 31

Eager fans awaiting Vybz Kartel’s return to the stage have just been informed when they can finally see the deejay perform again, with Skatta Burrell revealing the performance date on Friday. Vybz Kartel also followed up with a post mentioning the same show date.
As a member of the Downsound Entertainment management team, Burrell, alongside DownSound CEO Joe Bogdanovich, oversaw Reggae Sumfest’s successful 2024 staging in July.
Following Kartel’s release at the end of last month, Kartel, Bogdonovich, and Burrell were recently spotted together, with Kartel later revealing that only one man can pay him which turned out to be Joe.
Friday morning, Burrell shared a video on his Instagram page revealing a contract signing between Kartel and Bogdonovich for his much anticipated first stage show in December. In addition to sharing a video of the Summer Time deejay signing the contract, Burrell revealed that the date for the show will be on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2024.
Captioning the post, Burrell wrote, “This New Years EVE countdown gonna be one for the books. 🥳🎉🥳 @vybzkartel @downsound_entertainment.”
Fans of the artiste, who have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of the date for his first show, have since expressed their excitement. “Omg I can’t wait. I’m starting to get ready from now. I don’t know what to wear 😩😩,” one fan wrote.
Another stated, “To the jamaican ppl this is a public service announcement the vybz kartel show will be closing the year of 2024 so please don’t attend any show for December because you will need all your money to celebrate at freedom street thank remember don’t go to any show for the month of December.”
Days ago, Vybz Kartel shared a video online of himself calling on fans to suggest names for the event because after a conversation with Skatta, a name was not determined, hence the name of the show is yet to be announced.
In his most recent Entertainment Report interview, Vybz Kartel mentioned that he’s looking forward to Spice and Skillibeng being at his first show.
