Family Starts GoFundMe Account For Lexi D Bess
A GoFundMe account has been started by the family of social media influencer Lexian Williams otherwise called “Lexi D Bess” who died in a tragic car accident on March 18, 2022.
Sharon Parris, the mother of the deceased told The Star that an amount of $20,000 USD or approximately $3.06 JMD million dollars is being requested by the family, however, she asserted that this is not due to the inability to fund the funeral arrangements for her daughter. She stated that the family intends to pool funds together to ensure that funeral obligations for Lexian Williams are met.
According to Parris, the money will be used by herself to assist with any additional needs of the funeral, as well as to assist Lexi’s best friend Celia Vernon, who was also in the accident and is currently in critical condition at the Cornwall Regional Hospital in Montego Bay, St James.
At the moment, no date has been set for the funeral and the autopsy has not yet been done for Lexian Williams.
To clear the air about the authenticity of the GoFundMe account created, the mother acknowledged that the account is indeed valid and is not a scam. This uncertainty is due to recent speculations by the public that arose from some family members disagreeing with the need to seek financial assistance for the deceased at her candlelight event on March 27.
On March 18, Lexian Williams along with two other persons were traveling in a Toyota Mark X car that collided with a Toyota Voxy as they were on their way to an event called Cook Out in Rio Bueno Square. 21-year-old Lexian Williams along with 25-year-old Kenry Smith died while Celia Vernon is in critical condition. The driver of the Toyota Voxy has reportedly died.
