Vybz Kartel Bigs Up Bounty and Calls Beenie a Liar

Vybz Kartel has slammed Beenie Man as a liar while hailing fellow dancehall deejay Bounty Killer in his latest released song, entitled White House. White House hit streaming platforms hours ago, burning through topics of Kartel’s promiscuous lifestyle, his powerful impact and crime.
In the second verse of the song, Kartel compared himself to Rodney Price, better known as Bounty Killer, saying he is “real like Bounty” and not “lie like Beenie.”
The jab at Beenie Man was made as the camera cuts to Kartel’s cartoon character sitting in a room after showing him sitting on top of a dilapidated White House, which is where he also stated that he is “too powerful,” so the government has him under a microscope.
The song is steadily climbing the trending chart on YouTube with views over 100,000 and still counting.
According to DancehallMag, Beenie said the longstanding feud with Kartel began after Kartel had become successful and distant. Beenie Man, born Anthony Moses Davis, said he began mentoring Kartel after the 2003 Sting incident when Kartel and his entourage fought Ninjaman on stage during a lyrical clash.
Beenie said that Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, was shunned by Jamaica after the incident, so he took Kartel under his wing, and the songs he collaborated with him, such as Baby Father featuring D’Angel and the 2004 single Picture Dis (Breast Specialist), were what gave him his big break.
DancehallMag also reported that in a 2020 interview, Beenie asserted that Kartel had attained a level of success where he no longer needed his support and had become stand-offish. According to Beenie, there was also a counteraction to a song that further caused a rift in their friendship.
