Kardashian and West tied the knot in May 2014 and have four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Kardashian filed for divorce in 2021, and in a recent episode of the Angie Martinez IRL podcast, the Skims co-founder disclosed what it has been like co-parenting with West. Kardashian shared that she protects West’s image for her children and that she has created a system to shield them from the outside drama.

According to Kardashian, her kids are completely unaware of what has been happening with their father, and she explained how it is a full-time job to monitor what they hear at school or see on TV but said that it was worth it.

The mother of four told host Angie Martinez that though she would like to disassociate from things that have been said that she does not believe in, she does not share that with her children.

“If we’re riding to school and they want to listen to their dad’s music, no matter what we’re going through, no matter what has been happening in the world, I have to have that [ …] smile on my face and blast his music and sing along [ .. ] and act like nothing is wrong,” Kardashian stated.

Kardashian became emotional while speaking about her father, Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality star said she had great memories and experiences with her father, which is what she desires for her own kids, and said that they would be grateful one day that she did not bash their father.

Kardashian went on to discuss cancel culture and the recent backlash that she received following her response to the controversial Balenciaga bondage-inspired kid’s clothing campaign.
