Andrew Tate Released From Custody and Placed Under House Arrest

A Romanian judge has ordered the release of British-American social media personality Andrew Tate from custody along with his brother, Tristan, and ruled on placing them under house arrest. Along with the Tate brothers, the judge also ordered that their co-accused, Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu, be immediately placed under house arrest.
The ruling was made in the Court of Appeal in Bucharest, where all four defendants were ordered to remain inside their homes and not leave without receiving judicial permission.
An investigation over allegations of rape, human tracking, exploitation, and organised crime began last April, and the Tate brothers were arrested in December along with their two female Romanian associates. The prosecution has identified six female victims, but the brothers, who both denied committing any of the acts they are accused of, have not been charged with anything.
Andrew Tate became well-known and popular online, especially among young guys, by endorsing what he portrayed as an excessively opulent and manly lifestyle. He was repeatedly banned from social media sites, such as previously being banned on Twitter, for stating that women should “bear responsibility” for being sexually assaulted.
He was removed from the British television program Big Brother in 2016 after a video surfaced that seemed to show him assaulting a woman.
