Magnitude 4.3 Earthquake Rocks Sections of Jamaica

At about 8:02 PM on Wednesday, May 1, an estimated magnitude 4.3 earthquake rocked sections of eastern Jamaica. “I felt it in central St. Mary,” stated one person, shortly after the quake.

Jamaica’s worst recorded earthquake in history was the famous Port Royal quake of June 7, 1692.
