Ahead of the Olympics, Lyles revealed that he had been informed by Bromfield about the performance of upcoming athletes like Kishane Thompson. The sprinter also shared that he had been told about the drama in the local athletic camps.

Lyles’ revelations which ignited backlash towards Bromfield prior to the games have caused Jamaicans to continue to bash Bromfield after the Olympics ended. Following weeks of online attacks, the American athlete shared a message of praise for his girlfriend on his Instagram page earlier this morning.

Lyles expressed that he wanted to give her flowers, as he is incredibly proud of her.

“I just want to say how incredibly proud I am of my GF and give her the flowers she deserves now šŸ’. She has been through so much in her life that I could never imagine fighting through,” Lyles wrote.

He also listed her many achievements and highlighted that she has been representing Jamaica since the age of eight. Addressing the backlash Bromfield has received. The sprinter said the most impressive thing that she has done is how she has handled the hate from her fellow Jamaicans.

“The most impressive thing Iā€™ve seen recently is how sheā€™s dealt with the pure disrespect and hatred towards her from her own country. This woman has been attacked by people who have never met her, heard her name before, never seen her smile, or heard what she believes in. But she keeps moving forward knowing that God will always make a way. Thats why God keeps blessing her!”

Lyles went on to ask for people to share publicly how Bromfield has helped them. Reacting to Lyles’ message, Bromfield thanked her boyfriend for his years of support, even before they were together.

“Thank you baby For always supporting long before we even started dating. I remember 2019 you had just became World Champion and my brother passed away around that time in the midst celebrating one of your biggest achievements You tried so hard to make me feel better to help me see the positive in life and how god will always pull me out of a dark situation,” Bromfield wrote.
