Police Constable Arrested While on His Way To Carry Out Contract Killing in Western Jamaica

After a series of Investigations based on gathered Police intelligence, it was reported that a District Constable was arrested along with 6 other persons which might have stopped a contract killing of 3 persons from happening. The hit was said to have a worth of $400,000.
The District Constable was identified as 28-year-old Andrew Wright, whose motor vehicle was intercepted on Washington Boulevard after he was said to be on his way to the western end of the Island. After a search of the vehicle, several items were seized including 3 handguns, a tactical hybrid rifle, several rounds of ammunition, and firearm magazines.
About the matter, Deputy Police Commissioner Fitz Bailey who heads the Crime portfolio in the Jamaica Constabulary Force, on Friday expressed to the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Branch (CTOC) that the operation unfolded between 8:30 am and 9 pm Thursday, the house of the constable located at 6 Brickwell Terrace, Kingston 8 was also searched resulting in the finding of 1 American Hybrid tactical rifle containing 30 (5.56) caliber rounds.
In addition to what was seized were several other items including one uniform shirt, 3 red and black Police vests, two Police uniform pants, one ballistic vest containing a Police regulation number, two pairs of handcuffs and, four motor license plates, 3 Glock 17 magazines, one plastic M16 magazine, one block 19 mag magazines firearm cleaning kit, 3 outside gun holsters, 1 inside gun holster.
As the Police continued with their investigations it was reported that the motor vehicle interception including District Corporal Andrew Wright, took place on the Washington Boulevard road, where his red Toyota Yaris was stopped and searched and two other persons namely Adrian Graham from 19 Gordon Terrace Kingston 20 and 23-year-old Aaron Brown from Tavern Gardens.
The constable was reported by Deputy commissioner Bailey to have been found with a Glock 26 Pistol in his possession, loaded with 11 9mm rounds. The three men arrested in the vehicle on Washington Boulevard were subsequently all charged with illegal possession of the weapon.
