Popcaan Not Arrested – Attempted Robbery Rumour In Ghana

As reported by the Jamaica Star moments ago, Andre“Popcaan” Sutherland who has been in Ghana for a while now was not arrested in the country despite the rumour circulating saying so.

A video surfaced online late Wednesday of Popcaan being escorted by police personnel in Ghana, while some online outlets suggested that it was an arrest on Popcaan others stated that the police was helping the “Unruly” deejay after an attempted robbery on him in a bar.

While no words have been mentioned by Popcaan nor his team about an attempted robbery, videos surfaced online of fighting and commotion in a bar and on the street of Ghana, a gunshot was also heard. Another man is also seen in handcuffs being escorted by the police.

So far, based on a source close to the deejay, the negative rumours are false and the deejay is continuing to enjoy his time on the motherland.

Just recently rumours also swirled about Beenie Man being arrested while in Ghana, other rumours suggested that he contracted COVID-19. Beenie Man has since dismissed both rumours.

Popcaan has been to Ghana multiple times over the years and has been reported to have bought a house there, the “Family” deejay has also has been spending big on his current trip having spent over 2 million JMD on a bottle of champagne days ago.

Popcaan is expected to perform in Gambia on January 15th followed by an African tour.
