In her video, Ifrica said people from the inner city are being used as guinea pigs for the system and questioned how long it would remain that way. The frustrated artiste asked her fellow Jamaicans if they would unite or continue to squabble online.

Though she expressed doubt that continuing to speak out is worth it, Ifrica said she will continue to be a voice for the voiceless. She also criticised the pointless gimmicks used on social media and described some Jamaicans using social media platforms as “sheep”.

“Everybody weh come pon it now just know seh, yeh, if yuh wah get some sheep just guh pan Jamaican TikTok wid any kind a f**kery and yah get followers and yah get hype and yah get all di fame weh yuh need,” Ifrica said.

Noting the Jamaican people are of more value than their behaviour online, the Lioness on the Rise singer criticised Jamaican social media personalities who shamelessly use TikTok for begging.

“Mi did know seh di likkle begging ting did a guh meck di ting reach which part it reach… Mi kind a notice seh dem just teach di I dem fi just beg dung di place and if yuh nuh get it yuh cuss off who nuh gi yuh and dem ting deh and wi air out wi garbage dem… Nobody nah si seh it a downgrade and a degrade di value a yuh country and yuh worth,” Ifrica said.

She further stated that she would not give up, not even on the people who had given up on themselves. The outspoken Reggae singer went on to criticise artistes who turned their back on the country.

She was very critical of some fellow Reggae artistes, bashing artistes who had promoted lesbianism and homosexuality using Rastafarianism.

“Mi bun every Reggae artiste weh come push lesbianism and battyism ‘mongst the ghetto youths dem. Mi bun every Reggae artiste weh come do dat. A lightening and thunda. Plus ,dem come dweet under Selassie. Dem come dweet under locs. Dem come dweet under culture.”

The Keep It To Yourself singer’s criticism went beyond Reggae, with the artiste calling out Dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel for launching his rum label after leaving prison.

“Wi youths dem nuh suppose to get up every day just a drink alcohol. Mi bun yuh fi det Kartel. Mi nah beg nuh friend from yuh when eh come to dat… How come a rum alone our ghetto youths fi have in a dem hand? How come a rum alone our ghetto youths fi a drink,” Ifrica stated.

The artiste also expressed disapproval of Prime Minister Andrew Holness, the Minister of Health, Dr Christopher Tufton, and both of Jamaica’s major political parties.
