Jah Cure Returns To Court Today Tuesday, March 8

Reggae singer Jah Cure is set to return to court on Tuesday where he will need to answer the charges of attempted murder, attempted manslaughter, and aggravated assault that has been slapped on him due to an incident that took place in Amsterdam on October 1st of 2021.

As it relates to other information relating to the trial, the press officer Franklin Wattimena, representing the Netherlands Public Prosecution services, released a statement to the Jamaica Observer Online that what is known at this point is the next court date for the artiste on March 8th, however, other information has not been made known.

The entertainer whose given name is Siccature Alcock was arrested a day after the incident took place in the Dam square of Amsterdam, where he was accused of allegedly stabbing event promoter Nicardo ‘Papa’ Blake after the two had a dispute.

Based on what information has been secured by way of the Netherlands Public Prosecution press officer, Jah Cure has gotten the assistance of legal counsel, however, the situation that he finds himself in can also lead him to a 15-year prison sentence if convicted.

The artiste became well known after he was convicted in 1999 for robbing and raping a woman at gunpoint, for which he was given 15 years, only serving 8 and going on to release some of the most sensational reggae hits in the last two decades such as “Longing For”, “True Reflections”, “When I Find That Girl” and others.
