Continuing on her path of philanthropy, dancehall singjay D’Angel requested that her followers wishing to donate to viral social media star Peanut Dread, born Osbourne Ellis, may send the funds through her charity. Living up to her promise that all monies collected would be handed over to Ellis, D’Angel recently met up with the “Radam” catchphrase originator, gifting him $54,000 on behalf of her supporters.
In an interview with the Jamaica Observer, Ellis shared that his home was desperately in need of renovations and that his health was slowly deteriorating. D’Angel, the founder of Angel’s Foundation, saw his plea and met with him to present the donations from her Instagram supporters: Miss Prime, Queen Karen, Ellen Downer, and Rohan. Each supporter donated an amount of $7000, $15000, $17000, and $15000, respectively.
Ellis confirmed the donations’ quantity and went on to express his gratitude.
The social media entertainer also shared that his previously scheduled foot surgery for December 23 and 24 has been rescheduled for January 2023, thus providing him with more time to gather funds. D’Angel, who also runs the Spread A Little Love This Christmas fundraiser, reached out to anyone capable of donating a new bed to the St. Andrew resident, as he will be bedridden for approximately 3–4 weeks post-surgery.
