Jahshii Talks Brother’s Death, Grants Pen, Not Supporting Skeng’s Molly Popping, Popcaan and More – Watch Interview

Jahshii says because of his success in dancehall music, he has become the face of the Grants Pen community, therefore, anything that happens within the community, people are quick to associate with him, as he clears the air on allegations linking him to the recent spike in violent activities in Grants Pen.

“Really and truly me nah nuttin fi do wid nuttin, wah gwaan still enuh you haffi memba seh Grants Pen is a garrison community, a one-out a million make it, so fi mek it pon the level weh me deh, me is the face a Grants Pen so anything wah happen it just ago be like a me,” Jahshii outlined.

Via the interview, the Born Fighter singer also addresses rumours stating he has migrated from his community and Jamaica since the recent happenings in his home community. Jahshii responded by outlining that he is a human like anyone else, and he used the time of the controversy surrounding his name to free his mind by going overseas.

Jahshii continued his interview on the Let’s Be Honest podcast by talking about his musical career so far and the state of neo-dancehall. The entertainer showed his respect to Popcaan for motivating him to take his career to another level after he won the Unruly Clash competition sponsored by Popcaan.

As Popcaan’s name came up in the interview, Skeng’s name was mentioned as well, Jahshii then revealed that he introduced Skeng to Popcaan before their separation. Jahshii outlined his love for Skeng, but he also blamed him for having a big ego, which led to him and the Pop Molly deejay falling out.  

According to Jahshii, following Popcaan’s comments about Molly, which Skeng endorses in his music, the two’s relationship turned sour as he was a close friend of Popcaan and because he posted a clip from his song on his Instagram page.

“Them comment now and a seh Ratty Gang in charge under a Popcaan tune post, so it’s like a mind game, boy thing, ego thing deh so bro,” Jahshii explained. Jahshii also outlined that he is not into popping molly and does not believe that men should be popping molly.
