After returning home from a tiring meet in Brussels, Shelly-Ann ‘Pocket Rocket’ Fraser-Pryce takes on the competitive world of parents going against each other at their children’s sports day.
The Olympic champion’s son Zyon Pryce, now five years old, starts his journey of attending Primary School and she was asked as a mother to participate. According to Times Of India, Fraser-Pryce spoke about being called by the school and had a conversation about her participation in sports day.
Fraser-Pryce stated, “I’m also getting a lot of questions: ‘Are you excited about sports day?’ Yes I am. ‘Are you going to run for us?’ Yes I am.”
A video of the Jamaican sprinter was shared online, it shows her at her son’s sports day, taking the school’s tracks by storm. Representing Zyon and Blue House, named BlueJays, Fraser-Pryce can be seen running all out, while onlookers scream her name in encouragement, to win ahead of other parents by a huge margin.
The post was captioned, “Then this fair?? πππππππ Would you enter this race??…” Responding to the post in the comment section, Dancehall artiste Macma Diamond said that there is no way that she would enter the race, followed by a bunch of laughing emojis.
Speaking up, epik.lus said, “On another perspective. Other parents running with a TRACK LEGEND. awesomeness. Look at that one trying to come 2nd to tell her grand kids,” while andre_simpson79 shared, “She is a parent of course.”
