Usain Bolt was joined by his friend Ricardo “Bibi” Gardner as the devoted football fan journeyed to Greater Manchester, England, to watch Manchester United play against Reggae Boy Leon Bailey’s Aston Villa.
Bailey, who suffered a hamstring injury during Villa’s 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest on April 8, was not a part of Sunday’s Premier League lineup. Bruno Fernandes secured his 100th career league goal and United’s win over Aston Villa with a goal in the first half, ending Villa’s unbeaten 10-match run.
A staunch Manchester United fan, Bolt had toured Man United’s home stadium, Old Trafford, with members of his A-Team and Gardner in March and seemingly found today’s match too irresistible to miss.
The legendary sprinter shared a few quick moments from his trip to Old Trafford on Instagram, which included a photo op with Man United player Marcus Rashford.
Bolt glorified the stadium dubbed the “Theatre of Dreams” by iconic English footballer Sir Bobby Charlton in a video shared to his Instagram stories and displayed the stadium’s west stand, Stretford End, while singing Man United’s famous chant.
