Usain Bolt Gifts 150 Laptops to Schools in Rural Jamaica

The eight times Olympic Champion Usain Bolt, donated 150 laptops to schools, they valued approximately JM$ 5,838,096.96 or $US 40,000.00 to many schools in the rural parts of Jamaica, he believes the best thing about his life is his ability to give back to the children.

The retired Jamaican sprint legend stated that the initiative is pivotal as he honours his commitment through the Usain Bolt Foundation, he ensures that the Jamaican children continue getting the benefit from his hard work.

He believes the current pandemic forced children to do online classes and the need for technology in schools was highlighted and his work goes on, so he can provide the necessary support and equipment for the education of the next generation.

The foundation donated computers and tablets to 7 schools in Trelawny, his home parish. He gave printers and other supplies to 21 early childhood schools in rural Jamaica through his foundation.
