A drug dealer from Brooklyn, New York City, who had been missing for some time, was discovered in chopped-up pieces in a married couple’s refrigerator.
The refrigerator was located inside the fourth-floor apartment where Nicholas McGee allegedly killed the drug dealer. This claim was made by McGee’s wife, Heather Stines, who reportedly told the police that her husband and the drug dealer were in a dispute over drugs, and her husband killed the drug dealer.
His dismembered body was stored in bags inside the freezer for five months, and when police responded to a tip about a body at the apartment sometime close to 6:15 a.m. on Monday, they discovered the fridge sealed with tape.
Additionally, the New York Post reported that a statement from another tenant revealed, “Everybody knew he went in there and never came back out.” In memory of Gelzer, a makeshift memorial was created in the lobby. Another resident had also expressed that what transpired was a “terrible thing” and mentioned that Gelzer “didn’t deserve” such a fate.
According to the New York Post, the drug dealer was killed in September. The deceased was identified as 39-year-old Kawsheen Gelzer, who has an extensive criminal record. The New York Post reported that the police said that, along with being a drug dealer, Gelzer is a registered sex offender. He has been apprehended for several child molestation incidents and was also convicted for molesting a 12-year-old boy in 2005.
Following the gruesome incident, 45-year-old Stines was sent to Brookdale Hospital for psychiatric observation after being taken into custody. It was reported that she is a person of interest and has a record of outstanding petty larceny warrants.
Meanwhile, McGee, also 45, is currently incarcerated in Chesapeake, Virginia, for an identity fraud charge. He has not been charged with Gelzer’s disappearance or death.
