WATCH: Another Flat Bridge Accident, Vehicle Plunges into Rio Cobre: Driver Reportedly Drowns

On Sunday night, the latest of the string of accidents that have been taking place at Flat Bridge over the years happened when a mini bus driver was trying to cross the iconic bridge at 10:41 PM.

The incident was captured on CCTV, with footage now making rounds online. The video shows the bus making its way about halfway across the bridge, when the bus kept going to the left and over the bridge into the water below.

One passerby who was recording footage at the scene, stated that no one was rescued or seen leaving the water following the accident, hence the occupant(s) is presumed dead.

“Somebody drown, right now the car inna the water… right now mi blood a run cold…” said the cameraman who also urged Prime Minister Holness to do something about the bridge so that it will be more safe for persons to cross.

This is at least the third accident that have been caught on film at the location since 2025. Notable in January, a vehicle went into the water, on the other hand, a truck trailer overturned but did not plunge into the water. No fatality was reported in the previous accidents this year.
