A video has emerged showing a vendor being detained by three police officers, one of whom resorted to pepper spray. The incident quickly escalated when the male vendor aggressively resisted the officers, who were forcefully trying to apprehend him.

The footage of the crowd-pulling incident shows three policemen interacting with a vendor near a cart in Downtown, Kingston. The Jamaica Constabulary Force officers attempt to apprehend the man, but his resistance results in a struggle.

The struggle between the vendor and the policemen draws protests from onlookers, who argue about the officers’ forceful actions. Later, after several attempts, one policeman pepper-sprays the vendor to subdue him.

As the video continues, the vendor can be seen using a rag to wipe his eyes. 

A bystander also steps in, removes his shirt, and uses it to wipe the vendor’s face. Before the police carry him away, another man offers assistance by washing the vendor’s face with a bottle of water.
