The Minister also mentioned that they will be launching a new tourism product that will depend primarily on sport and entertainment. Citing that they are the two main areas that amass large followings.
He also said, “Entertainment and sport are going to be mega pillars on which the new tourism is going to be predicated.” He took the opportunity to congratulate the bobsleigh team who he says are doing an excellent job in representing the country, showing their national spirit, and continuing to wave the Jamaican flag. Their presence at the Winter Olympics will bring additional positive awareness to the country.
