In two of his most recent posts, the Maroon Chief showed videos of Prime Minister Andrew Holness expressing the importance of the indigenous culture and the Government’s respect to the land they own in the Cockpit Country. Both videos were speeches made several years ago, however, Richard Currie did manage to dig them up.

The first video Currie posted concerning the Prime Minister, showed the leader of the country giving a speech about the importance of the Cockpit Country, making it clear that it was the place that the British were defeated and could not go.

Prime Minister Holness, went on in his vocal dissertation, to state that the sensitivities concerning the area are not just Environmental but also historical and cultural. With that said he expressed that the cries of the Maroons have been heard, and so no environmentally damaging act cannot be done without a thorough study.

In the caption of the photo, Currie wrote; “Is the Minister of National Security Horace Chang @horacechangjm in another Jamaican Government or does he operate independently of his Prime Minister?”.

He then went on to question the structure of the Government as well as pointing out that the video show that the Prime Minister is aware of the Maroons, then continued by telling the wrongfully informed Minister that “maroons are still waiting for a PUBLIC APOLOGY from @horacechangjm”.
